About Australian Reptile Park

Ever since Eric Worrell started The Australian Reptile Park in 1958, it's been a destination for those who want to get up close and personal with native animals. With hands-on exhibits that are interactive enough so you can touch or feed whichever animal floats your boat; there really isn't another zoo quite like us!

Australian Reptile Park is a great family fun day out. Located on the Central Coast of New South Wales, one hour north of Sydney and south to Newcastle this Australian themed park houses some amazing wildlife including kangaroos, koalas (and their resident wombat!), devils plus many more fascinating creatures that you can get up close with! If it's your first time at AREP don't forget about our special deals where kids aged 3-10 years old receive free entry into any keeper displays if they are accompanied by an adult - what better way than exploring nature together?

The children's playground is full of fun, interactive exhibits that will keep them entertained for hours. The Litehouse teaches kids about reptiles in an amazing way while they explore other animals around the park-like spiders and frogs! Pack a lunch or grab one from our cafe if you're feeling peckish - there are plenty of sarnies on offer too so pick what suits your tastes best before heading out into nature this afternoon with some friendly kangaroos hoping to meet up again soon...

What to do at Australian Reptile Park?

Hand-feed kangaroos in our free-range area - it's the best place to see them! Meet Hugo, Australia’s giant Galapagos tortoise as he makes his daily walk through the park. And have you seen how cute these little joeys are? They'll hop right up into your arms when they're hungry (or possibly after something tasty like a grasshopper!). Then take some time for yourself at one of many photo sessions available throughout this natural wonderland.

The Australian Reptile Park is a must for any nature lover. With over 40 species of native and exotic reptiles, you are sure to find your favourite! You can visit Spider World - home to some very large spiders like funnel webs that milk their prey or tarantulaville where many different types live together in harmony (and sometimes conflict!). There's also the children’s adventure playground which provides fun activities while teaching kids about animals at ARP as well delicious coffee from our on-site cafe with tasty pastries available all day long; not forgetting free BBQs every weekday afternoon.
